Based in Thunder Bay, the Survey Technician will have a wide range of duties which focus on conventional surveying services. You will be part of a team that is involved with construction monitoring, precision layout, 3D laser scanning, and bathymetry surveys. We are constantly thinking of innovative solutions and ideas and will utilize emerging technologies to improve both the efficiency and quality of deliverables to our clients. This is a new position and the wage range is $21.00 - $23.00 hourly.

What You’ll Do:
As part of the TULLOCH Geomatics team, you will:
Field:
- Assist in the collection of field data using various survey instruments, levels, and GPS field equipment
- Organize field equipment and supplies
- Ensure all field equipment is accounted for and maintained in good working order
- Demonstrate the essential skills related to the use of all field equipment used to perform job responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery
- Process field data and computer-generated survey information
- Assist in ensuring plans are in compliance with provincial standards and drafting requirements
- Assist in preparing pre-engineering, topographic, and cadastral plans
What You Should Bring:
The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a Geomatics program or related field of study. Additionally, you should bring:
- High motivation with results-oriented focus
- Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
- You are willing to travel for fieldwork
- You are always keen to try something new
- You work hard until the job is done
